Meeting Pictures

We had a great turn out for the first meeting of the new year. There were a total of 21 people at the meeting. Four of which were visitors. Then two of them became EPA QRP Club Members.

Len Barish, N2BSC, gave a talk on all the great tips for those who go out camping or hiking in the great outdoors. You might have learned a thing or two even if you don't go hiking or camping.

Ed Breneiser, WA3WSJ, gave a great talk about his trip to Abaco Island in the Bahamas, C6A land. He had some great QSO rates in the past ARRL DX CW contest in February. We were trying to get Ed to commit to having the club as his guess and to have the next meeting in Abaco. Unfortunately the idea did not go over too good with Ed. Hi Hi

We had several door prizes that were given away. A special thanks goes out to Kay WT3P, Carter N3AO, Bernie N3EFN, Ed WA3WSJ and the EPA QRP Club N3EPA.

The prizes consist mostly of book. "Walk in The Woods", "ARRL Wire Antenna Classics", "QRP Power", "Key Notes", "W1FB Notebook", and "Low Power Communications - The Art & Science of QRP"

Carter gave each attendee a Amateur Radio ID Badge Lanyard. This is a great way to hang your badge and not put any holes in your shirt.

After the above prizes were chanced off, all names were placed back into the box for the Grand Prize drawing. The first prizes was a 2000 Flying Horse CD-ROM Callbook and a 386 laptop computer with the contest program CT already loaded on the hard drive. The lucky winner for the laptop was Chip, N3BAO.

Everyone hard a good time but it seemed that the time went too fast. Check out the upcoming EPA News Letter March 2001 form more details on future EPA Club Meetings.
