KB3LFC History

I was formerly KC3YD and before that, KA3LPJ. I allowed my license to expire in 2000 but this year, 2004, got the bug again and passed the Technician exam in Youngstown, Ohio May 20 and passed the General Exam in Butler (Breeze shooters Ham Fest) June 6. Hoping to take the Extra exam this fall.

In the mid to late 1980s and early 1990s I operated almost strictly QRP CW (some side band) from Schuylkill County, Pa., using a Ten Tec Argonaut, a Century 21, and an old HW-7. WE had a house fire in 1993 and the only rig that survived was the HW-7. Hoping to get some antenna’s up at my new QTH in Armstrong County and get back on HF with the HW-7 and may add an MFJ 9030. See you all soon and 73s, Tom, KB3LFC
