Hello,
Got my General license W9WMA in 1953 while in the Navy, age 19. I was stationed at Cheltenham Naval Radio Station in MD from 1953 to 1956 and was discharged as a Communications Tech (CT2). Upgraded to Extra Class in 1961. Operated as W9WMA in Milwaukee, WI until 1976. Became W3DP in 1976 on move to Camp Hill PA near Harrisburg. The call 3DP dates to 1914 in spark days outside Philadelphia. My station includes a TS-570D, Ten Tec Delta 580 and Oak Hills OHR-100A QRP rigs. Antennas are G5RV and Butternut HF6V vertical. I still operate CW (first love) with an old Vibroplex Original Deluxe bug or keyboard. I was active in NTS traffic nets EPA, 3RN and EAN from 1977 to 1997. Am still an ORS/NCS on EPA, but my main activity now that I am retired is rag chewing and QRP on 40M. Member ARCI #9672, FISTS #3464 - cc#350 and ARRL 46 years. I retired from AMP Incorporated in January 1998.
