N7UN History

First licensed in 1963 and KN7YYK which became K7YYK. Later became AA7QZ
then N7UN in 1996. Started out on 40m CW with a converted WW2 ARC 5 receiver and transmitter with assistance from my Elmer, W7AQ (originally 7AQ from the 1920's), now a SK. Over the years I've been involved with numerous facets of the hobby. QRP interests started with the first NorCal designs. When I relocated to NJ with my job in 1994, DXing and
low-band (160m and 80m) interests occupied me for a number of years. I followed the
Elecraft equipment introduction in 1999 but finally bought my K1 in 2004 and that
started the QRP fun and when combined with hiking, particularly to the "vista"
sites in the NE, what more could you ask for?? Ed Breneiser, WA3WSJ, introduced me to
the Pulpit Rock site in PA last fall which started the Polar Bear event activities.
