WA3YLQ History

Have been licensed since 1961 (WA2VNZ) when in high school in Princeton, NJ.  Received WA3YLQ in 1974 when I moved permanently to Montgomery county. My favorite mode is CW. I use 2 mtr. FM to stay in touch with locals. I  moved to a retirement community last year, and am currently running qrp on 40 meters with a 65 ft magnet wire antenna out the back of my unit. In the past several years these hams have peaked my interest in QRP: Chip Morgan, N3IW, Joe Burgess, W3PNL, and Ken Andersen, KA3WMJ. I am active in the RF Hill ARC and have headed up the Field Day CW station for the past several years. My present rig is a Kenwood TS440S. I intend to tackle a QRP construction project this fall.
